BRIGID'S WELL
Brigid's Well. Liscannor, Ireland.
Lottie, the woman who owns the bookstore in Doolin, told me about Brigid’s well. According to the locals, the well contains healing waters. Lottie said that the well was originally in a pasture, directly across the road from its current site. A villager misused the waters one day and the offended well dried up in response. Shortly thereafter, it reemerged in its present location. Supposedly St. Brigid appeared to a village girl at the new well.
